(a) Hyphenation: Hyphenation is the use of a hyphen to break up word when it reaches the edge of a document. To adjust Hyphenation settings on Microsoft word, click “Page layout” Tab, Choose “Hyphenation” And select “Automatic” or “None” or “Manual”.

 

(b) Cross Reference: A cross Reference allows the computer user to link to other parts of the same document. For example, One. Might use a cross reference to link to a chart or graphic that appears elsewhere in the document.

(a) I ensured periodical saving (ctrl + S) after first saving (Save As) of the document to avoid loss of progress made while working.

(b) I ensured to highlight the required paragraph before executing the required formatting on the paragraph

(a) Hyphenation is the process of adding hyphens to words at the beginning of lines so the hyphenated part will fit at the end of the previous line. The hyphens are inserted between syllables in a word.

For example, a cross reference can point to a different page in the document (e.g. “see page 13”), to a footnote (e.g. “see note 2 on page 13”) or to a specific heading (e.g. “see heading 3.1: The Hobbit”),
